Facial Implants

Why do
Patients Choose
Facial Implants?

…..

Facial implants are designed to enhance the underlying structure of the face — creating more balance, symmetry, and definition. Whether you’re seeking a stronger jawline, more prominent cheekbones, or subtle correction of facial asymmetry, implants offer long-lasting, natural-looking results.

Common reasons patients choose facial implants include:

What to Expect (Procedure Overview)

At Selarom, facial implant surgery is approached with precision and artistry. We take the time to ensure the implant’s size, shape, and placement align naturally with your features and aesthetic goals.

Consultation & Planning
We start with a detailed facial analysis to understand your concerns and evaluate facial proportions. Dr. Schmelzer will help you determine whether a chin, jaw, or cheek implant is right for you — and whether it should be combined with other procedures like rhinoplasty or facelift.

Surgery Day
Facial implant surgery is performed under general anesthesia or IV sedation in our fully accredited surgical suite. Small, hidden incisions are made (either inside the mouth or under the chin), and the implant is precisely placed and secured. The procedure typically takes 1–2 hours.

Recovery
Most patients return home the same day. Swelling, tightness, and mild bruising are common for the first 1–2 weeks. Soft foods may be recommended if implants are placed through the mouth. Most patients resume light activity within 7–10 days and full activity after 3–4 weeks.

Your Safety, Always
Facial implants require meticulous surgical planning and placement. Dr. Schmelzer’s background in craniofacial surgery ensures every implant is integrated smoothly, safely, and harmoniously into your natural anatomy.

Will the implant feel or look unnatural?

No — once healed, implants feel like part of your natural bone structure. They’re designed to enhance, not exaggerate.

Facial implants are permanent but can be removed or revised if desired. With proper placement, most patients never need revision.

Most incisions are hidden inside the mouth or under the chin, making scars virtually invisible.

Fillers are temporary and ideal for subtle changes. Implants offer permanent structural enhancement and are often more cost-effective over time.
